The chalet is situated in a quiet and sunny location, at the foot of the famous Eiger North Face, 4 minutes by car from the village centre, 5 minutes on foot or by ski (winter) to the Grindelwald Grund-Kleine Scheidegg-Jungfraujoch railway station and to the GRINDELWALD TERMINAL, the most modern terminal in the Alps.
The ultra-modern terminal, with a direct railway connection to Grindelwald and Interlaken, is the heart of the V-Cableway. The Eiger Express tricable gondola to the Eiger Glacier and the 10-passenger gondola to Männlichen depart from here. The terminal also offers a shopping centre with top international brands and Swiss quality products as well as a sports shop.
In summer, Chalet Bodenwald is an ideal starting point for walks, hikes and mountain tours in the unique landscape of Grindelwald. In winter, ski pistes, toboggan runs and cross-country ski trails lead directly to the chalet.

All flats are located on the south side of the house with a view of the north face of the Eiger and the surrounding mountains. The flats are equipped for 2 persons.

In summer you can buy bread, rolls, croissants, milk and drinks at the in-house kiosk. Restaurants and shopping facilities can be reached on foot in 10 minutes.
Both the terminal and Grindelwald Grund railway station are a 10-minute walk away. From there you will find connections to Grindelwald Dorf, Männlichen, Kleine Scheidegg, Jungfraujoch and Interlaken Ost.
No, pets (including dogs) are generally not allowed in Chalet Bodenwald.
Yes, we have a laundry room with two washing machines and a tumble dryer. Tokens can be purchased at the reception.
